Sault Ste. Marie Community Wellness Challenge 2024

Join the Community-Wide 555 Wellness Incentive with Unified Wellness and Local Agencies!

Unified Wellness is teaming up with other community agencies and businesses to introduce a community wellness incentive that will revolutionize your mental and physical health. Our goal is to implement a 5/5/5 method that ensures visible and tangible change. The 555 number sequence signifies change, transition, freedom, and adventure. Our challenge is designed to last for five months, with five categories, and five goals to achieve.

If you're looking to Live A Great Life, this event is for you. Our local service providers are excited to motivate and empower you with the tools you need to succeed. Additionally, you'll have access to a Facebook group where you can learn more about our sponsors' offerings, participate in exciting events, and learn tips that will bring on your success.

At the end of the event, two wellness ambassadors will be crowned and receive $1000.00 in prizes.

Cost of this 5 month event is $100.00, registration includes 3 Styku scans valued at $180.00 and so much more.

Gutsy Walk Canada

Unified Wellness actively participates in the annual Gutsy walk for Crohn’s and Colitis Canada. In 2023, the Unified Wellness team opened the walk with a short stretch and movement exercise program. Shannon meets with the Gutsy walk board monthly to discuss strategies for support, awareness and research for Crohn’s and Colitis sufferers. 831 teams across Canada, including 4570 participants made up the 2023 supporters. Sault Ste. Marie Helping Hands

Unified Wellness actively works in the community providing services and working on boards. Shannon is passionate about her community and wants to be a part of change and growth by providing her knowledge and skill set. She believes life is what you focus on, and this applies at the community level. Focus on everything great the community has to offer and the community will transform to greatness.

Shannon is on the Board of Directors and is team lead for program development with the Sault Ste. Marie Helping Hands. Working in partnership with the Career Centre, the two organizations provide families sponsored by local businesses, financial assistance, and coaching services to enable them to uplevel life circumstances.

Downtown Association

Having a business downtown Shannon realized changes were required to make the area successful. She recently became a member of the Board of Directors for the Downtown Association and is on the Safety & Security Committee. She believes for change to occur you have to be part of the change and is proud to work with great people.
